Jodi Picoult

Good book, but a very weird twist ending. The entire story is realistic up until the ending.

I rate this book 2 1/2, but because love Jodi Picoult I gave it a 3 instead of a 2. I found the main character unbelievable, I don't think a mom would risk everything like she did, especially a mom who is also a lawyer and knows the law. I liked the twist, but found it a little "too" impossible, Father Gwen and Father Gwyen?? Seriously??

SPOILERS AHEAD:

Maybe this is an unpopular opinion but I don't understand the build up of Patrick and always showing he loved Nina for them not to end up together. In the end, Caleb and Nina fit well by how they acted but it seemed really out of place for Caleb because he just kept abandoning Nina throughout the book for the same exact thing he ended up doing. Idk maybe I just liked Nina and Patrick better. But overall a heartbreaking story of the justice system.

Heartbreaking!!!!
