ENG
i’ve seen this author blow up on booktube so i decided to choose one book by her to see if i liked it and i couldn’t connect to the story. i don’t know if it’s me problem but it sometimes it felt over the top, the execution for hero’s pushing back was done poorly and i didn’t enjoy this romantic suspense as much as the others i’ve read.

CW: violence, gun violence,

I enjoyed reading about Hadley and Calder. I found it fascinating that the thing that initially pulled Hadley and Calder together ended up pushing them apart. The one connecting thread through this series is the unresolved trauma that all the characters have to learn to deal with the effects. I really like how Calder and Hadley communicated with each other throughout this book. As for the suspense portion, I had this one guessed correctly pretty early on.
