I really really enjoyed this book. It is now probably my favorite of the trilogy and duology series. This book succeeded where the others left me wanting more. The pacing was really good. I felt like many of the other books in this series struggled with pacing especially in the middle of the book. However, The Prisoner’s Throne has exciting things happening throughout the book. I enjoyed all of the characters and especially liked that the first book in the duology was from Wren’s point of view and this one was from Oak’s. I do wish we got a bit more time with Oak and Wren, but I’m a sap for romance and things of that nature and generally like a bit more sprinkled throughout the story. However, the character growth and interactions we do get are rewarding and satisfying. Overall, this is a really good book and a good end to the series.

Not gonna lie, I've read this book just to finish the series and be done with it already. I appreciate it was written in 3rd person's POV which I will always prefer, but why now? Why the last book only? I always enjoy Cardan so that's the second thing I liked having in this book and that's that.
