So I'm not going to sit here and lie saying I was excited to start this book since the first one was so underwhelming. I was so surprised by this book i'm shocked that I rated it 5 stars. I fear all of Holly's first in the series never hit because it's always so dense and honestly I was so confused. After reading this I want to re read the stolen heir now knowing some things. I loved seeing Oak's perspective and how much he really is a Greenbriar. Like those genes truly don't hide one bit. I am writing this review so late so unfortunately I barely remember what happens just that I enjoyed it way more than I thought. Especially our snip bits of my fav royals Cardan and Jude. Though I was NOT a fan of Ghost turning into a TREE and then no one bringing it up again like ummmm Holly I need a Ghost/Taryn redemption story immediately.

A little slow at first and very fast at the end , and even though this book was from oak's pov you can really feel and understand wern's character deeply and of course jude and cardan are as charming as ever more cardan though

I enjoyed Oaks story and being back in Elfhame, as I thoroughly enjoyed the Cruel Prince series. However I did struggle to follow the plot at times with all the different players and conspiracies. Otherwise amazing!
