i liked that this one was written from oak’s point of view but i wasn’t as into it as with the previous one and the miscommunication felt a bit repetitive. i would gladly tune in for more of these series, though. maybe something focused on nicasia or a grown up leander.

I'm glad I finished the series. It did get a bit better than the first of the duology. I even had a couple moments of "I need to know what happens next." A light read that was enjoyed well enough. Wouldn't be my first recommendation, but if asked specifically I'd say give it a try.
