I rarely read M/M romances, but yesterday night; I couldn't sleep and something about this called to me! And I am so glad it did!
Loved the characters, the humor, the paranormal plot line with mystery and two insanely hot heroes I fell in love with the moment I met both of them - not to mention how wonderfully descriptive the plot line is!
But for me, the best part was the writing - it was enchanting and brilliant! Loved the simplicity yet how it was able to suck me in within minutes of me starting to read! :D
This is my first read by this author and I honestly want more from her. Next paycheck goes to the PI Guy Series! <3

I totally loved this so much which was not something I was expecting.Full of sass and a entertaining MC who is not likable sometimes and ghosts who were adorable?..Yeah, sooooo wasn't expecting this.
I really thought this was a mystery/suspense book.It does have that but I don't know for me, the romance and the characters were the things that worked.Not the mystery aspect.NOPE.
But this had a cute MM ship and weird family and a character named RAINSTORM.So, if you want something fun, this is definitely the book you need.
I really enjoyed this. The whole mood is just perfect. It's not dark. It's not light. There's emotional weight to everything. I liked that Daniel and Rain felt like a couple that messed up and broke up even though they still loved each other. Their finding their way back together was realistic, awkward in places, hurt in places, anger in others. They felt like actual adults. I loved the ghosts, I wish there'd been more. I'm so torn, I loved Ethan and want more, but I should be happy he's at peace. The mystery was decent. I really hope there's going to be a sequel, I want to know what happens with the ghost at the end.
Very fun! I am definitely going to read the next one. The audiobook narration was great too.
This is my first SE Harmon book and I loved it! Told in first person from Rain's POV, this book is so well-written and hilarious to boot. The cast of secondary characters (including the ghosts) was great, and Rain's family is so funny.
Not gonna lie: I did figure out who the murderer was almost as soon as we met them, but I don't even care because the process of Rain and Danny finally getting there was so well done. Rain and Danny are great as partners and as lovers and the banter between not just them, but all of the characters, was perfect.

Better than I expected it to be, tho crying out for editing. I do wish this wasn’t a standalone.
Funny, sweet, witty, interesting, I really loved this book. The ghosts made it entertaining. Daniel and Rain were a great pair. Will definitely read more by this author.

4.5 stars. I read this because I enjoyed the author's private investigator books. I'm not a big paranormal/ghostly activity person, but this is so well written that it didn't rankle me. Rain has a great voice, and after reading a lot of dual POV books, it's nice to settle into one (tho somewhat unsettled) mind. Also, believable second chance romance! More like, 'we have unfinished business' romance.
