Ummm cozy historical fiction anyone?

Reading a fictional story about a very real and devastating war is slightly more stressful than reading a fictional story about a fictional war centering fictional creatures.

What I’m trying to say is… I’m happy to branch out but I think I’ll stick to fantasy, thanks. (Either that or I’m about to go on the wildest historical fiction reading bender the world has ever seen—TBD.)

The love of books

This book truly reminds you the power that a book can hold. The way a book can take you to another world, when there are moments in your life that requires an escape. The way a book can stay with you, the characters take a hold of you long after the book.has been put away. I absolutely loved this story set against an absolutely horrific time in history. While I knew of the blitz, this book made me go out and read about the horrors people suffered through and learn more about this time. I highly recommend this book if you like historical fiction and if you want to be reminded of the powers of the written word.
