i’m not a huge fan of trista’s earlier works. it’s crazy how much her writing has improved over the years, because i adored “aphrodite made me do it”!

I was drawn to Small Ghost because of the cover, I thought the little ghost and colors were cute and after reading the short synopsis, I knew that the poems themselves wouldn’t necessarily reflect that, but I was here for reading it. The poems in Small Ghost made my heart ache, but towards the end, they were filled with a little hope and that made me feel hopeful as well. They were just so meaningful and I really loved the illustrations — they were fantastic! Small Ghost was an excellent collection and even though it might be on the smaller side, it still packs a punch and is definitely worth the read!

it's sad, and it's relatable, and it's depicting these feelings well, and sometimes it doesn't seem like it'll get better. sometimes it doesn't get better, not for a while, but everything that is difficult and hard will pass.

This is seriously so cute

I absolutely love this. It’s so creative and unique—unlike anything I’ve read or even seen. I wish there were more to this, I would’ve loved to keep reading. Small Ghost is so so relatable ugh

This was a very cute little collection of poetry. I really enjoyed the small ghost character cause I think sometimes people can feel more like ghosts than human beings when they’re really struggling mentally/emotionally as this character was. I also really loved the illustrations, they were super cute.

Super short, super cute & super sad. Loved the varying styles of the poems & the illustrations were adorable. The last poem was definitely my favourite - ‘small ghost looks to the future’
