This paranormal romance is so well written that I felt like I was right there with James and April. Loni Lynne does a fantastic job of explaining metaphysics and making us believe that something like this could happen.

REVIEW:
I wasn’t sure what to expect but as a fan of ghost stories, I was excited to read one with some romance and historical background. For debut author Loni Lynne I applaud her for writing a story that hooked me at the start and creating a complex historical timeline that was so detailed, I felt like I was really there.

Wanted: One Ghost follows April who like all the women in her family is gifted. She has the gift of Psychometry where she can touch objects and see the past. She also can see ghost, which is news to her especially since she runs right into the ghost of the man she’s researching. James Addison has never known the reason why he was charged and hung for treason. But after 200 plus years he never thought he’d have the chance to discover the truth or even talk to someone. But fate brought him April and together they try to put the pieces together of his past and try to fight the ghost that don’t want the truth to get out.

April is a smart woman who is a historian and is hired to discover the truth behind the mysterious James Addison of Kings Mill. Kenneth Miles her new boss believes there is something in Kings Mill to prove the innocents of his descendent and wants her to find it. From beginning to end I was curious on Kenneth Miles connection and what importance he plays, let just say it was a great twist! April is dealt with a lot of complications when not only she discover James is a ghost but also realizes her gift has brought him back to the living. But for what reason? He life has become extremely complicated and James is one man whom she can resist. Plus she will stop at nothing to discover what happened to him.

April isn’t alone in hunting down the facts about James’ past or his return. April’s mother Virginia who can hear ghost assist in a way but also makes life a bit hard for her daughter. April’s aunt Vickie and grandmother Dotti are gift as well and add some much needed humor and embarrassment for April. These ladies cracked me up with the bickering and how calm they were about a ghost coming back alive. Each help not only April with the mystery but James in discovering what it’s means to have a second chance and finding peace.

James is a sweet man who has a reputation for being a ladies man, when he meets April sparks definitely fly. Their connection is instant but it’s hard for him to woo a woman in 2012 when he’s stuck with only the knowledge of the 1700s. What I loved most about how Lynne went about James’ mysterious past with duch depth and detail. She digs deep in Aprils Psychometry as well as her family gifts to bring the reader to the past and slowly solve what’s been hidden for so long. I can’t forget about the best part, the romance! April and James are like a moth to a flame, there is no going back and they are such a thrill to watch as they get closer to one and other.

Overall I really enjoyed the history and romance, but it also made me think about how many unsolved cases like this may be buried in the history books? I love stories that can make me think and that I can immerse myself in the world the author created. The pace is great all through out, but this is a heavy read with lots of exciting twist and turns. I can’t wait for more stories from debut author Loni Lynne, she created character the readers will easily connect to and care for. This is a book that is on my must read list for those looking for a new paranormal romance.

RECOMMENDATION:
This is an adult novel with minor sexual content but this is full of suspense and paranormal abilities that will hook you from the start. Fans of Wide Open by Deborah Coates and the Allie Beckstrom series by Devon Monk will enjoy Wanted: One Ghost by Loni Lynn.

Wanted: One Ghost by Loni Lynne is a May 2013 release and a Crescent Moon Press publication.
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

James Addison has been dead for over two hundred years. He was executed for treason. Now Dr. April Branford has been hired by billionaire Kenneth Miles to find out if a certain piece of property was actually owned by his forebears. He has some plans for the property and is in a hurry to see who has the rights to it.
King's Mill has a long and storied history. April is not having much luck in her search for information about James Addison. On a ghost tour, April strikes up a conversation with a man she believes is a part of the tour.
Later, while speaking to her Aunt Vicki, she finds out that in reality, she has seen her first ghost. This is a gift all the ladies in her family possess. April and her mother have dreaded this day.
When April finds herself out on Halloween with the ghost of James Addison looking for his place of burial, a strange thing happens and James finds he is no longer a ghost, but a living, breathing man. Not only that, He and April have a connection that too strong to ignore.
The two of them work together with some help from the historical society, April's gifted family, and few people from the past to get to the bottom of who is the actual owner of the King's Mill property and why James ended up accused of treason and executed.

This is a mystery, a paranormal romance, and sort of a time travel/historical novel. Mostly light hearted and really funny when James tries to adjust to the independent women of present day. However, James does remind us of a time when men were gentleman in a good way.
April has a job to do and tries to stick to that, while she tries to enjoy every day she has with James. Since her gift arrived she also finds her aunt's house is very haunted, and April experiences some frightening encounters with some of them. Her investigation leads to some startling revelations about the past.
As things play out between the past and the present, April will have to believe in fate and have faith, because things are not always what they seem.
This was an outstanding debut novel. A sweet, sigh worthy romance that will leave you very happy with the way things turn out. Everyone involved gets what they need and the characters all grow through the experiences they have since James entered their lives.
Lovers of contemporary, mystery, paranormal, and time travel romances will all find this novel appealing. This one deserves an A.

I could not put this book down!

A debut novel, Wanted: One Ghost mixes history, romance, and the paranormal. From the start, the reader is drawn into the life of James Addison, a wealthy land owner turned ghost. For 200 years, he wanders the sight of his death until a woman with paranormal abilities is able to bring him back into the plane of the living, but only for a brief amount of time.

The entire novel is enchanting and intriguing, bringing to life a story of love and the mystery surrounding James' death.

I was entranced from beginning to end. Each sequence was described impeccably and the writing was sincere.

I also happen to live in the area the story takes place, so it was especially poignant to me!

A great, fast read that is sure to delight.
