Very magical and cute
It was fine but not as charming as many of her books. Main character was dull, the story felt chaotic but also boring, and the ending was not satisfying. A major story of “if only people communicated at all, none of this would have happened”, and then it resolves pretty anticlimatically.
Slow could not tell what was going on.
Every one of the Chrestomanci books was fabulous. I can't believe I never found these when I was growing up.

when the witch said at the end everyone hunt for pussy, I lost my mind. I couldn’t stop laughing until I finished and had to take a moment before finishing, very immature I guess lol. Anyways this is a decent kids book, very immersive and quick read.
