I have read the text only book in the past, but found the illustrated edition when I visited the library one day. I enjoyed it very much - the illustrations add a lot and the Feegles throughout are wonderful.

It's more a 4.5 than a 4... I love this book but don't think it's the strongest Discworld book out, so didn't give it the full five.

Very charming book. Flows nicely and holds your attention from start to finish. It felt like there were very few wasted words - everything served a purpose (unlike in this review). My only complaint, and, in my mind, it's very minor, is that much of the book is devoted to saying that girls are sharper than boys, and that's just the way it is. As a boy, I found that to be a bit grating after a bit, but for pretty much all of history Western society has said the opposite, so it's probably ok for things to swing the other way for a while.

This book was nice! Good characters, good plot, good themes. It didn't hold my attention very much, though.
