Thoughts Alight Poetry by Elmrabti Kawtar is a collection of poems and thoughts. They have been divided into four parts, love thoughts, hope thoughts, self thought, and mediation thoughts.
The division love thoughts contains lots of metaphors and love can be felt bleeding through the pen of the poet. It's really alluring to read the way her love has been described. He/she has been related to multiple aspects of nature and it's just admiring to read how much love she has poured to write on that particular person and topic. At times, the meaning of the lines may seem repetitive. It's the largest section.
The hope thoughts section has her thoughts on hope and they have been correlated with various aspects of nature again. I loved this section the most. It's been stunningly written.
The section self thoughts are her thoughts about herself and her journey. I like the respect provided to self which we should encorporate. I loved this part too.
The book cover is really bright and beautiful. The title of the book is up to the mark. The poetry has been written in simple words and it's easy to understand.
I wish the pieces were mixed up because reading poems of the same topic through a stretch of time may seem tedious in the particular division especially if you're not a fan of the same. I would have loved more content in the hope thoughts. The pieces in the hope, self and meditation thoughts seemed a little haphazard in terms of title and length. It could've been well presented.

Pieces I liked :

- An Adventure
- Unique quintessence
- Love's Breeze
- A Blissful Pace
- A Candlelit Miracle
- In This Sunlit Cafe

"...For you are the sky. I am the restless sea. Endlessly drawn to you." Sunset Hearts

I really enjoyed journeying through the author's thoughts of love, hope, self and meditation. She writes with such feeling you are left thinking of the words long after you've done reading. This is one book I will refer back to anytime I need a little pick me up. Sometimes poetry is just the medicine needed for a dreary day and if ever you feel this way, grab this book and read a few poems. It will lighten your heart.

I was contacted by the author to read and review her book of poetry. All thoughts are my own.

I myself, am not a huge poetry collection reader, but this piece of work from Elmbrati really caught my attention when I was looking for a starting point. I loved the message that this book brought with it. The hopeful poetry in it was inspiring and good.

It was a great mood booster, especially with everything going on in the world. It’s broken into four different sections that separate the poems. Starting with Love and ending with Meditation. I loved this system because it’s great to have when you’re reading and when you’ve finished and need a poem to brighten your mood.

Though, this collection was overtly positive – it did tackle serious issues like self-discovery, acceptance and love.

Here are some of my favorite lines throughout the poems:

You and I, brought together by the flaw of fates turquoise tides.
Your freckles, perfect constellations.
‘Be the Queen’ I gently whisper for my heart is your kingdom.

The poems, in the subheading, were spaced really nicely, there was a mix of short and long poems to keep you engage and have the pages fly by. I did find some words got repeated often, though it did give some of the poems a cohesiveness, but was also repetitive.

Overall, this poetry collection was such a joy to read. It flew by and so many of the poems have stuck with me because of their elegance and charm. If you’re like me and you’re looking to start in the poetry genre, I highly recommend giving this one a go.

"Create your own world⠀
with your own magic⠀
Defeating darkness⠀
with your smiles"⠀

✨Thanks to the author for providing this ebook in exchange for an honest review.✨⠀

This book is a collection of modern poems by author⠀

The poems are divided in 4 sections: love thoughts, hope thoughts, self thoughts and meditation thoughts. ⠀

The writing style is very simple and the poems are very easily understood. The poet used a lot of nature motifs with common symbolism. ⠀
The cover of this book is gorgeous I really like the book title.⠀

I enjoyed self thoughts the most, they were very inspirational. ⠀
Love thoughts were the weakest part of the book because they just didn't feel intimate enough and they were very repetitive and a bit cliché.⠀

I think that this author has a good potential and I hope to read more of her poems in the future.⠀

I am very honor and thankful to be given a chance to read this and thank you for the kind author for sending me an ebook of her book.

I have read some number of poetry books before and I would say that I have never read a refreshing/ inspirational / motivational poetry books before. Although I would like to point out Rupi Kaur's The Sun and Her Flowers was an inspirational collection of poems but this one just set a different atmosphere of it.

The reason why I give it a 4 star because of some parts that I thought was unecessary or I felt that it was somehow felt off and the word/ phrase was just put there out of nowhere.

Overall I really enjoyed this book.

The poetry in this book are so beautifully written, I couldn’t stop reading. If you’re looking for a book that contains self-help , thoughts, love words , than this is for you .
My personal favorites were the poems about growth and hope (in the self thoughts section) especially the ones with flowers (causes i love flowers, obviously) .
I really loved the writing style , each word spoken to me on a different level . You can feel the passion of the author through her words and poems , they are written with such affection that touched me through the whole book .
Overall, a very good and enchanting read . It filled me with hope and I’m sure going to re-read every bit of it when i feel the need to .(especially the last poem) “and it shall be my source of inspiration and serenity.”
That’s why I highly recommend this

"In the end books may well be the only true magic the human soul can hold into."
I guess, every book lover will agree to the above lines from this book!

Thoughts alight poetry is a collection of Lyrical thoughts penned down beautifully by the author.
The collection has been divided into 4 parts namely,
- Love
- Hope
- Self
- Meditation

Use of metaphors has been done vividly and in a good manner - "The day I met you, You tempted me like an empty page, For I knew you and I, Were destined to write a tale!"

The first section contains the most number of poems and is one of the central theme round the book.
The book describes the love for our partner as well as the love for one's self. It's a well written collection perfect for beginners exploring poetry.

I immensely enjoyed reading this poetry collection. The author has such a beautiful way with words, and reading them made me feel so calm. Also, I thought this poetry collection was very unique. Nowadays modern poetry tends to look very much alike (in my opinion). From the four parts this book was divided in: love thoughts, hope thoughts, self thoughts and meditation thoughts, I think my favorite was the self thoughts part.

The only thing that I did not really like in this collection, was the fact that there was a lot of repetition throughout the book with certain words and similes. I found that for example “green emerald eyes” and “luminescence” were repeated often in various poems. I would have liked this book of poems even better if the author had used a larger variety of words and similes. Lastly, only the poems in the love thoughts part had titles and I thought it was a pity that the poems in the other 3 parts didn’t have titles as well. Still, I really enjoyed this book of poems. 3 stars! :)

Thank you so much to the author for sending me a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
