This graphic novel chronicles the author's experiences with hearing impairment in elementary school. It's a great read for elementary students and teachers.

Absolutely fantastic! What graphic novels for young people should all be. Good stories, fun art, funny, touching, and positive. Real characters (of course since they were based on the author's childhood) warts and all real emotions...just perfect.

The Bell/Angleberger house is just too jam-packed with talent. Kids are lucky to have them. May they both have long careers!

This was a really cute story! It's for middle grade readers. It shows how a little girl (who is portrayed as a bunny) understands, copes with, and thrives after the loss of her hearing. I have not seen that many books with characters that are hard of hearing so it was really neat to see that perspective written.

Enjoyable read with simple, 'cute' bunny rabbit illustrations. What I enjoyed most about this book was how she had to learn how to "hear" by using either, a device, sign language or lip reading. The latter was the most interesting in understanding the limitations of it, and the same mouth shapes that make up different words — context is king!

Cece takes the reader down the path from hearing child to one with severe loss after an illness. Every scene is spot on with feelings for friends, teachers, family, boys and self. An amazing book!

A wonderful personal story, well told and drawn in a whimsical style that made it even more enjoyable. I highly recommend it.
