I loved this book, and found that it was really cute but also explored deeper themes around loving and being loved. The art was beautiful and really enhanced by enjoyment of the book overall.

Absolutely loved this story! It was such a cute and non-traditional love story. Lots of layers of family dynamics throughout. The full color pages were so bright and beautiful. I’ve been contemplating reading American Born Chinese, and finding out this was done by the same author totally tipped the scales for me.

Didn't know what to really expect with this, but I enjoyed it quite a lot! I loved the slightly spooky aspect of the story, and the art was beautiful. I also loved that the story didn't really have a "bad guy" and instead was just a series of interactions between different people with their own complications. Seems obvious, but it feels rare!
