Original, emotivo y con una gran evolución del personaje principal. Me ha gustado mucho que a pesar de estar centrado en una fiesta como San Valentín escape del amor romántico más tradicional (al menos en parte). La historia engancha desde el primer momento gracias a sus personajes que son más complejos de lo que puede parecer y a los que se les da espacio para desarrollarse (incluso a los secundarios!). Me gustó mucho poder ver la incorporación de la cultura coreana y el apartado gráfico también me encantó. Probablemente, el cómic que más me ha gustado de este autor hasta ahora.

This wowed me! I've been hearing great things for a while, and it didn't disappoint. This is the perfect graphic novel for me: deep and emotionally resonant story, lovely character-focused art, and a page count long enough to feel novelistic. It's warm and complicated enough not to be predictable, even centered somewhat around romance. I enjoyed the extensive cast of characters that were given space to be so much (quirky, frustrating, complicated, sweet, kind, alive) without a moralizing pressure to be fixed or solved by the end. It's another excellent story centered on teens but by no means lacking relevance to adults in terms of the personal growth the characters experience. And my god, by the time the two dragons kissed each other in the final performance, I died. PERFECT culmination of humor (in the audience witnessing the note being passed through the dragon costume mouths) and emotional catharsis (the two characters reuniting). I loved this and will recommend it!

What can I say? I'm never disappointed in a Gene Luen Yang book and this was no exception. It was fantastic! It's been awhile since I flew thru a book but I really flew thru this one. A good mix of slice-of-life and a little bit of supernatural mixed in.
