i lovedddd the art of this graphic novel! the illustrations were gorgeous and really brought the story to life. however, i wasn’t as gripped by the plot, and i feel like there wasn’t a lot of depth to the characters outside of val. also, while i appreciated the imperfect family relationships, i feel like they could’ve been resolved more fully. ultimately, this book wasn’t 100% my cup of tea, but i did enjoy the visual feast!
