I didn't get to finish it, but it wasn't as good as Shiver which drew me in...

Amazing sequel to Shiver. I really enjoyed that we got to know Sam and Grace as more seperate persons and not just as a couple. Much more focus on wolves in Longer than it was in Shover. I can't wait for Forever!

It's a nice book; a tea and rainy afternoon kind of book. Entertaining, with good quotes, but not like those ones who make us cry our hearts out :)

Okay they need to have halfs because this was a 4 and a half star book. It was not as fast paced as Shiver was but this one had a really deep emotional impact that Shiver did not have so both were really good Cole and Isabel were really interesting i know evrybody is saying how they were the most interesting part of the book but it was equal 50 50 for both Sam and Grace, and Cole and Isabel. The story was good and the plot kept building up and the ending was shocking! I loved it

I got my little hands on an ARC of this.
Oh.... mah.....gawd.
Ms. Stiefvater has very well given me a full on anxiety attack once again!! But WOW did she pump this up a few notches! Still, had moments of absolute sweetness to moments where tears welled themselves up in my eyes to moments where I was concerned my blood was going to actually, literally, boil.

One major change from Shiver is that you aren't following a simple little love story of just two people to say that this is happens "after" is no freaking joke! This shows greater dynamics of relationships and love, it is phenomial, but don't expect the same pace as Shiver. It is different, I will give you that, but oh... oh it is good.
For the love of all that is holy, I BELIEVE in the 3rd book. It's going to be fantastic.

Linger has the unfortunate position of being a story on the way to another story, and like so many middle books it is both intriguing and annoying. The end does not satisfy.

However, Maggie Steifvater really is a talent when it comes to narrative voice, and she succeeds at giving her characters an immediacy and resonance where so many of her contemporaries fall short.

It will be a long wait for the final book in this trilogy.
