I listened to the audio book and really enjoyed it. I often have trouble with reader inflection but this one was really well done.

In 1823, a grizzly bear mauled Hugh Glass while he was on a trapping expedition in the Great Plains. The rest of his party, expecting him to die any time, abandoned him. His survival story is gripping, but Punke’s excursions into the fur trade and the lives of other characters make The Revenant a much richer, deeper reading experience.

That end was so unsatisfying but I suppose it can’t be helped. I think I actually perfect the movie to this book. Either way, both were good works in their own right.

I think Hugh Glass is strongest person on earth. I love the process and how I learn a lot about former condition in old America.
The origin of white people, fur hunter, crazy environment condition, and hard knock life as a worker in a fur company.

I love everything about this book, especially the journey, but I really hate the last chapter. As usual, force to push story to an end is the worst way to end a book. To bad I can't enjoy the ending.

After read the book, I decide to watch the movie. Wowow I can't the believe the movie won an oscar? Like wtf, this book has much better thing to explore, the plot on a movie change a lot. I prefer the book. (Ofc. I couln't compare this two between book and movie). But duh!
