Book is all over the place with different people and various bits of history that aren’t specific to women gaining access to credit.

There were spots where the story repeated itself unnecessarily and left a few questions unanswered. It could have used a couple more rounds of editing, but otherwise an enjoyable, informative read.

I enjoyed learning about the history of the Women’s Bank. However the book has so many characters, and though important to the history, it is hard to follow. The majority of the book is about their personal lives rather than the history itself.
Fascinating topic. I enjoyed reading the different biopic chapters. This felt like a finance writer trying to write a human interest story - there was enough to keep me engaged content-wise but there was no real arc. It was like reading an extended article in Forbes.
