Me gusta su literatura para niños y me gustan estos relatos que ya no son tan sorprendentes pero aún conociendo el final, merecen la pena.

I loved this book. I bought it because I remembered loving the British TV series, and most of the stories were familiar, but so much time had passed since seeing the show that I had largely forgotten the twists at the ends of the stories, so all was good. Roald Dahl had such an imagination!

Short mysteries. A youthful romp. So much packed into short stories.

I love Dahl, but I'd never read any of his "adult" works before. Started watching the "Tales of the Unexpected" show on Amazon, and figured I'd read these stories alongside the episodes. Some are funny, some sad, some terribly twisted, but they are definitely all *unexpected*. On to the next anthology!

Thoroughly entertaining and charming.

Lost me with the Hitler story considering Roald Dahl was antisemitic

Devilishly cute. At times eerily dark. A fun collection of stories very Dahl appropriate and reminiscent of Tales from the Crypt indeed. Great surprise gift from Tyler. My favorite stories were Lamb to the Slaughter (definitely), Dip in the Pool, The Landlady, The Way Up to Heaven, Mrs. Bixby and the Colonel's Coat, Georgy Porgy (definitely) and The Boy Who Talked to Animals. These were just my absolute favorites that either tickled or horrified me or both! The others were all good, interesting, and fun with The Sound Machine, My Lady Love My Dove, and Gensis and Catastrophy appealing the least and being a bit meh. I started off taking my time and then read about half this book in one go basking on a blanket in the sun and grass---lovely time.
