DID NOT FINISH: 25%
Too ‘Hallmark’ for me. Not much happens, it’s all gossip and chatter. Also, the audio version has loud music playing in the background for the entire book which makes it even more distracting.

I like an Origin Story. This is one for a murder club, and I liked the members and their (dark) secrets.

Overall, it’s a cozy mystery, although the members have some serious trauma.

The solution of the actual case was satisfying. The only thing that bothered me slightly (it often does) was that at the end
the way the fire is described, was a little unrealistic. People and writers often underestimate the power of smoke.


I’m not sure whether I will read book 2, although I liked Nora and her gang.
