Having read both Stephen King and his son Joe Hill before, I can definitely feel both their voices in this novel. It's a little more current and less detailed than a normal King novella, but it made for a creepy audio book. I listened to it all in one day, lingering in my car much longer than usual in order to finish it. I loved the relationship between the brother and sister, and I found myself rooting for them long after it became apparent that they had stumbled into some bad shiz. It is a horror story, bad, gory things happen, things that will linger on your brain and haunt your sleep.
Not everyone's piece of cake.
King and Hill! Woohoo! It takes A lotta skill (King and Hill kinda skill) to write such uber creepy stuff in short pages. Creepy and disturbing..but awesome in a super creepy way.. Idk how to explain this but this novella is disturbing, gory and creepy. I repeat disturbing, gory and creepy. And don't watch the movie, you'll end up loosing ur minds people! It's thaat awesome.

Loved this creepy short story by two people who are among the best at making us fear what we cannot see.
Quick and Creepy
This is a short story, this is a creepy story. Overall it was okay, but I wasn't a fan of the flow of the story/ writing style.

Definitely creepy. Thank you, Mr King for adding tall grass to the list of things I'm now terrified to go in (very afraid of corn fields). I'm curious to see how Netflix handles this as a movie too.
"There's something wrong here.
These people have clearly never watched a horror movie in their life nor do they seem to have any common sense. Even I know not to walk straight into a large field like that, and I've never ever been in the Midwest. But people do as people always do, I guess.
