Spectacularly scary, sinister, creepy and disgusting. Stephen King once again brought it on the atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Well, this will have me thinking twice when I mow the lawn. This was a fun little story with the combined talents of Joe Hill and Stephen King, but not likely to take a place among your favorite stories. It's still a good one and plenty of staples to make it a good King short story. I look forward to Netflix's adaptation of this story. I am sure this will translate well.

Gore ....kinda unpleasent to read
I had great expectations for this story by Stephen King and his son Joe Hill. It was pretty good but perhaps a longer collaboration would be better.
Short and digestible (wink wink) read that takes a classic horror setting and puts a Stephen King twist on it. Tall grass and cornfields are often settings for teens about to meet a terrible fate, (or perfect for velociraptors) and this is no different. Claustrophobia is the name of the game. It's easy to finish in one sitting. Had to take off one star because the phrase "your ass is grass" is said.
This was short and sweet. A pair of siblings (twins) go into a tall field of grass to find a lost child. I wanted something more. A bigger pay off in the end but nope. It was an okay read.
3.5 stars
I really, really enjoy Stephen King’s writing style! The beginning of this story is really intriguing and it really pulls you in straight away. While the story wasn’t particularly mindblowing overall, I had a really great reading experience and I’m super excited to see how they adapt the film which is coming out later this year! Definitely pick this one up if you need something little in between other books, it is worth it!
