Great YA read about the current (unfortunate) climate of our country and the choices our teenagers must make and how those decisions could affect their lives for years to come. I loved the dual perspective from both girls and authors!

It was an amazing tale of two girls that absolutely survived something tragic. My only issue is I want to know more about those two.

This book was pretty slow to get through despite the short length. The small window of time that it takes place in made it seem to drag on and on. I didn’t feel like I got to know the characters at all, or that the two main characters Campbell and Lena got to know each other at all either. So many of their choices didn’t make sense, and the ending seemed incomplete, like it stopped when they ran out of things to write rather than a planned or meaningful ending.

I really enjoyed the narration between the two characters: Lena and Campbell. At times, I did think the dialogue between two teens was too exaggerated and out of touch. The ending left me wanting more as well.

the entire situation in this book could have been avoided if lena had literally done the responsible thing and called her dad for help. but she didn’t because she was worried her dad would get upset about her boyfriend, who by the way, couldn’t care less about her.

i also couldn’t stand campbell. she was so clueless about everything which was incredibly annoying.

i’m not dying with you tonight, unfortunately, is not a book i’d recommended.
