The atmosphere created throughout this is fantastic and it’s clear that the author had experience of similar conditions to write it so convincingly. For me though it was the climbing, the mountain and the atmosphere that put the ‘thrill’ into this thriller because it seemed so obvious who the killer was right from the moment they showed up and I was left thinking ‘eventually!’ when our main character caught on. For the atmosphere alone though this was a great read and maybe I’ve just read too many thrillers/mysteries and that’s why I spotted our killer, lol!

Took a bit of time to warm up and was a quick ending, but all in all, a good quick read.

The beginning was a little bit slow but once things started to escalate I thought it was a really good read! Without giving away any spoilers, I liked that the ending wasn't like normal thrillers where everyone except the main character dies and that really made this book different and almost more enjoyable. I will say the way the author writes this book, I felt cold when the character felt cold, it was almost like I was climbing that mountain with them, very descriptive but not overly so and that was a great component to this book.

Thanks to NetGalley for providing me with a free ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was a really gripping mystery with a terrifying setting, high stakes, and a fascinating look into mountaineering. The buildup was so suspenseful, I wanted the action at the end had lasted a little longer than it did! I'd recommend to those looking for a book that you won't be able to put down.
