Less follows novelist Arthur Less as he attends different literary events all over the world to avoid hearing his ex-boyfriend's wedding.

Honestly, I loved this book. It was very poetic, and had little dialogue which often made it move slowly. However, the life lessons and stories in this book were amazingly done and sweet. It felt like a more exciting version of Eat, Pray, Love. Arthur Less is human in every since of the word. His journey dealing with lost love and the inevitability of aging was full of lessons I will never forget.

I loved this book from start to finish. The plot centres around a failing writer trying to avoid the wedding of his previous lover, and is both sad and funny throughout. I enjoyed the character development of the protagonist; how it starts with his own opinion of himself and then allows the reader to understand how the different characters in the book see him very differently. Very interesting and insightful ideas and discussion around love and happiness, with the book finishing in an extremely satisfying ending. Definitely a book I will be rereading very often!

I just love everything about this book. I laughed out loud so many times listening to this on audio and seriously felt all the feels. Heart-aching & heart-warming. Goosebumps! Well done.

I think I understand the point of this book, but am not sure I'm it's core audience. I didn't mind the writing but it was ultimately unmemorable.

I started out uncertain about the opening chapter and the story trajector, but I’m glad I stuck with it. A really lovely novel - had me in tears at the end. ❤️
