Omg what can I say, I haven't laughed this much from a book in a long time. I loved it. It was like a more mature Divinicus Nex story, mixed with Charley Davidson's humor. I feel like this is more of a 4.5 stars for me only because Willa is slightly on the annoying side. She's like a petulant child always getting into trouble but everyone just looks at her like 'Oh, the cute human thinks she's invincible, how amusing'. Regardless, this was a seriously fun ride, that I had no idea where it was going. I'm very excited for the next one, I only wish time speeds along faster so I can enjoy the book sooner.

Audiobook re-read

A reverse harem (the trigger warning that I, unfortunately, overlooked before reading) with a super clumsy female lead character and five love interests that look different but share the same personality. Had the story been more complex and the characters better developed, I might be persuaded into ignoring the reverse harem trope.

I initially DNFed this book at 5% because it was poorly written and the main character is so so clumsy.

However, with nothing else to read on the plane, I picked it up again and was surprised to find myself really enjoying it. Its silly and ridiculous but I genuinely had a great time with the last 95%.

Of course, my number one pet peeve is fantasy worlds where everything is the same except they have come up with different words for "night", "day" and "year", and I definitely spotted at least one accidental "night" in the text! Still, the book wasn't trying to be anything other than exactly what it was, so I'm ok with it all.
