Hegel- Idealist who expanded on dialectics but believed things came from the ideal rather than the material.
Feuerbach- Materialist that took Hegelian Dialectics and said that material affects ideal but did not mention how it is two way, with ideal reasserting the material. (Base and Superstructure in Marxism).

Incredible book, written by the founder of the Communist Party of the Philippines, while he was imprisoned. Cannot recommend it enough, especially to those who are new to Marxism-Leninism. I prefer Stalin's definition of dialectics, and materialism in [b:Anarchism or Socialism? & Trotskyism or Leninism|55844059|Anarchism or Socialism? & Trotskyism or Leninism|Joseph Stalin|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1604362568l/55844059._SX50_.jpg|87060124] however the definitions in this book are also incredibly good. A good short read, the edition that I have is like a pocket book, which lends itself well to the topic of the book.
