This was an amazing book. From the minute that I picked it up I knew that I was going to love it. Not only was it narrated by a dog but a philosophical dog who dreams of someday being reincarnated as a human. He tells the story of his family and their trials and tribulations beautifully with more intelligence and understanding than a human narrator could have achieved. To see the revolving lives of these characters through his eyes really adds to the layers and depth of the story. It is impressive how simplicity can make something much more meaningful. I loved this book. I would read it again and that is something that I rarely do.
