I really appreciated how this book addressed stereotypes. Stereotypes can be very damaging and negative, but just because a person fits into a stereotype doesnt make them inherently bad or a negative impact on a certain community or sect of people. I liked how things werent perfect in the end. Things were still a mess and Lee wasnt entirely sure what her exact trajectory was. But she had a goal. Something to work towards and something to work for. I liked the openess and honesty she had with Risa and how Risa’s own feelings were addressed. Also really loved her relationship with Max.
One thing that did knock it down half a star is that I was never quite sure what time of day or what day it was. They kinda blurred together and it seemed like she was fitting a lot of activities into one day. Also her insistance at first that her life was not like a book or movie. like girl, take one look at all your circumstances. Like, line em up.

A beautiful story about a whole lot of chaotic people and untidy queers, about family and love and romance and growing as a person. And a book about a girl who makes mistakes and deals with it and tries to make it better and maybe makes a few more mistakes along the way, and who then creates a story which I very much enjoyed. A little more depth to the characters, a little more time for them to develop would have been nice, but I liked Indestructible Object nonetheless and especially the ending was absolutely wholesome.

feel like it was a little too late for me to read this book. Most of the conclusions and thoughts drawn in it are things that either don't apply to me or that I have already understood previously, but it was still fun to seen it all written out
It also made me want to visit Memphis, so I guess that’s a bonus.
