While I enjoyed this book, I found it to be incredibly slow. I expected that, as that’s just the nature of the story and the writing style, but not a lot happened in this book. It was primarily a traveling/journey story and it felt like it’s primary purpose was to set up the final book in the trilogy, To Green Angel Tower. We learned quite a few interesting tidbits, but I expect the next book to be significantly more fulfilling. I’m excited to see how the story will resolve itself, particularly in regards to our main character Simon. I still don’t really know how he fits into the bigger picture of the story and I’m anxious to find that out. I would definitely call this a second book slump, but it was still a good read.
