This was the perfect novella to add a tiny shifter to the family. It was a cute story with lots of joy and magic!

A really sweet read i love this world!!!

I wish Leonard and Charlotte's story could have been explored a little more but with Bael, and Jillian expecting their egg and Danny in for a surprise this read was a page turner!

Short and nice, just what I needed.

Charlotte is a midway and heading to Mystic Bayou to help a dragon and a phoenix with their egg. Yes things gets strange in the Bayou. We do meet side characters from previous books, but I did feel like this novella could stand on its own. Enough was learned to move along.

While doing baby dragon egg stuff, she meets Leonard. The other POV, he has a Fae curse on him, oh I forgot to say that Charlotte is Fae! Anyway, poor Leonard, this is a mean curse that has been passed down generations for 200 years. They meet, they intrigue each other, and they were just cute. it is a novella, so it does not go deep, but I could still feel they were meant to be.

I liked the two narrator thing. Ranconi is good, and I really liked Davis too. He had this nice smooth voice that fit so well, and I could have listened to it for a long time. But I must say that even in 1.7x it managed to feel that I could have speed up even more with his voice. But that is just me. It was lovely.

It was fun, light read that I enjoyed more for the glimpses into other beloved characters’ lives than anything else. I will probably include it in future re-reads of this series, but it wouldn’t be a focus.
