A nice, solid romance! I enjoyed the premise quite a bit - who doesn't love a little fake courtship/pining moment - and it didn't even bother me that the conflict of the book hinged on the fact that the MCs just wouldn't talk about their feelings.
I will say that I know a lot more about Sebastian than Grace, and I feel like the book sets up external conflict with Sebastians family and his lack of material wealth as being a potential barrier to him and Grace marrying but then nothing actually comes of it? This book for me kind of landed in the valley between Fluff and Angst and I do prefer them to kind of....pick a side. That said, I felt like Sebastian was just the sweetest hero and the book did a really good job of sensitively handling the topic of social anxiety.
I do think this would be a good "first romance" for someone who's never read one before, especially a good first historical!
