Really enjoyed this book. It was my first by this author and I'm looking forward to more. Due to some of the content it was a little emotionally heavy and sad, but it also had some great light-hearted moments too.
I loved the Latinx culture in it and the Spanish. But what I really loved was the relationship between little Maria and her dance teacher, Yaz! They had an incredible bond and it was a pleasure to read. If course I loved the chemistry between Yaz and Tomás too. It was really well written with just enough conflict and a great ending.
I'm looking forward to reading more from Oliveras!
