At the end of this the second of the trilogy, I can honestly say that I love the world and I'm steadily intrigued by the characters. My one critism is the incredible speed the series moves at. Each book lasts only a matter of days. I feel that those time constraint sometimes means some things are developed too quickly. I cannot begin to fathom how Mafi will wrap up all these loose threads (pun intended) in only one more book. I will however be reading the finale to find out.

The king is dead. The man who killed him has kidnapped Alizeh. Kamran quickly realizes how much his grandfather protected him. Ready or not it's his turn to reign. Unfortunately, he has no idea who he can trust. Alizeh is shocked when Cyrus announces that he has been ordered to marry her by the devil. Everyone wants Alizeh to agree and become the queen Everyone has been waiting for. This was a great read. I enjoyed both story lines.
