Just trust me when I say you need to read this book. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars, but let's give it 5 sharks instead

This has been one of my favourite books of the year. It’s such a unique premise - an autistic girl campaigning for a memorial to victims of Scottish witch trials - but still so personal and human. I felt very seen by this book!

It's book like these that should be widespread and not stand out because they are different. Books written from the perspectives vastly different experiences are crucial and necessary in children's publishing and I'm so glad I picked this one up. If you read any kids book this year/month/lifetime, make it this one.

This book was only my second 5 star of the year and it definitely deserved it. An amazingly well-written book following an autistic girl as she campaigns to have a memorial erected in honour of the women murdered as witches after she sees parallels between them and herself. I really, thoroughly enjoyed this book. There was a lot of heart and raw emotional poured into this book to make for a really beautiful book.
