The theater kid and reader kid inside me are screaming with delight right now because I finally read The Princess Bride.

I highly recommend the audiobook narrated by Ron Reiner (the film adaptation director). The audiobook is a little over 2 hours long, so it's quick and entertaining!

True love is the best thing in the world, except for cough drops.

If you loved the movie, the book is very similar and most of the iconic movie lines are verbatim from the book. 

I have to admit that the introduction had me fooled. It wasn't until I went to learn more that I realized that even the "nonfiction" parts are completely fabricated. Similar to Chapter 19 of Sideways Stories from Wayside School, "There is no S. Morgenstern. There is no unabridged story."
