Listened to this on audio. This kept me engaged and I guessed some parts but there were connections and turns I didn’t guess.  I wish they would have given us a little bit more closure on some of the story lines but overall I really liked it and it was an intriguing story!!

Loved the premise - a strange lady (psychic??) predicts the cause and age of death of all the passengers on a flight. What would you do if given such a prediction - would you make changes? Would you try to “beat” your fate? Would you just focus on making the most of your limited time? In classic Liane Moriarity fashion, there is a huge cast of characters and yet you feel like you get to know them all. At first I was flying though the pages, totally engrossed, but I think the last quarter of the book dragged a bit. I also feel a little let down by the ending… I loved the way the storylines weaved together but
and it feels almost wrong to say this because it would definitely have been the more “dark” ending… but I almost wish it was more of a fantasy type book and more of the predictions came true? Instead we went the “logical” route which just fell a bit flat for me.
however, I did enjoy the underlying theme of logic vs higher powers, what controls your fate and can you change it etc. I definitely want to read it again, it’s so dense I think I will take more away from a second read-through.

Slow to start, and at first gives you the feeling of “where is this going”, but wholeheartedly enjoyable. Loveable characters, witty & funny moments, and by the end you’re crying.
Definitely a little different to Moriartys other books in my opinion, not as much of a mystery, and definitely more lighthearted, but I enjoyed it a lot. A book that really makes you appreciate life, and also inspires you to go do the things you want to do in life.
