It was certainly dated, but she wrote that feeling so well, the thing you try to explain to your friends and family, but can't. I thought it was a wonderful story and I've fallen for Katherine Forrest's writing.

I’m not a huge romance fan, but dear goodness was this a sweet and erotic affair between Diana and Lane. Very well written and the romance that blossomed between the two women was believable and beautiful.

TW: sexual assault (m/f)
This was (mostly) a light and fluffy romance. I really enjoyed the atmospheric writing - a girls weekend in a snowy Lake Tahoe cabin. There are a few fun romance tropes throughout the book ("there's only one bed!!") that I enjoyed, particularly because this is a lesbian romance written in the 80s.
Overall it's pretty cheesy, but the best kind of cheesy. I enjoyed this quick read and will definitely look into reading more of Forrest's work!

After the boring beginning and the brief rape scene this book was mostly just 80’s vintage gay erotica….Not one I’d recommend but I’m glad I read it

Trigger warning:
I was certainly not expecting that but it was a fun, heartwarming, spicy and fast read. This classic of lesbian fiction does hold the promises that it makes - giving us a pure romance of two women in a time where non-heterosexual love and relationships were even worst of than today. Love is love. Period.

I think the final nail in the coffin here for me was the friend who spoke in the third person for no discernible reason.
