A lesbian classic that I have and will continue to re-read multiple times.

Argh. So many mixed feelings about this book. Need to mull it over before I can review it. ...

I found the encounter group thing corny and irritating, but after that the sweetness of this won me over- for all that I don't approve of gambling and consumerism. Gender was written very well, both men and women characters and the problems of a heterosexist worldview.

I found the lovescenes both erotic and romantic which is wonderful because I thought I was becoming too cynical...many of the sapphic romance books I have read this year have left me cold in that department. Guess I am just old(school).

Not sure whether to keep to reread or pass on...maybe keep for now

I haven't read this in years but it is just the classic Naiad Romance--one of the first lesbian fiction novels I ever read.

It's funny because for some reason when I first read the summary, I didn't think Lane was a woman's name therefore it actually surprised me when I realized I was reading a woman-woman kind of romance novel. Funny but not odd, it didn't weird me out or make me uncomfortable. I'm used to reading gay romance, whether it's books or fanfiction so my understand came naturally.
I liked the book. I liked how effortlessly and lightly it was written, it was like a passing warm breeze that tangles your hair and messes with it a bit but overall it's the nicest of all imaginable feelings. The feeling of warm freshness on your face just coming over your body and soul. I liked how the book made me feel. Was it the sitting by their Tahoe cabin's fireplace or all that talk about ocean, I'm not sure. It just made me feel at easy and content with life.
