Hi I'm Gemma, 26. Yes I still read children's books. Why not? Reading and books don't have an age limit.. now moving on... I really enjoyed this one. It's beautifully illustrated throughout and the story just sets your imagination on fire. I find children's book have so much more magic and imagination in them than adult books.
Meet Opie she's discovered she can talk to animals! Wow. What a hero. But surely that means there are others like her too? There sure are a secret group of them. But it soon becomes apparent they are against an evil group of the same people who are trying to take over her school.
Which side should she join? Good vs Evil. She is sure a hero and her power is more useful than she thinks but with power comes temptation to do wrong. A great read. I do believe this is book one in a new series coming soon and I can't wait to see what lies ahead for Opie. Will her powers grow? Highly recommend. A well deserved four stars from me.

Clever and funny, and worth reading if only for the animal quotes and the quiz at the end! We all love Opie Jones!
