This book gives Howl’s Moving Castle vibes. It was a cozier fantasy read. The end was harder to get through. I feel like there was a missed opportunity that we never got to experience what Rowan goes through in person at towards the end. I enjoyed it.

Beginning was a lot of info dump, but really enjoyed the last 1/2 to 1/3.

Biddy is a girl who lives with a mage and his familiar on a secret island. She has never left the island. When the mage doesn’t come home one day, she has to put herself into an unfamiliar world to try to help him, and save magic.

This book was good. I wasn’t thrilled by it, I got bored at times. I feel like it could’ve been shorter. It had a great baseline, I liked the characters, especially rabbit. But I got really bored about half way thru, and had a hard time finishing it.
