Much spicier than the first. The characters were a bit flat.

This books was so fun. I love Junebug and the shenanigans she gets the family into. We get more great side characters and I can’t wait to see them in future books. These books are not as romance forward as a traditional romance (since the MMC wasn’t looking for a wife), but the characters are great and the story is fun. I can’t wait for more!

I swear if I don't get a book for every brother now I will revolt.
This book was so so good. I loved them both and getting more of the siblings. And it had a jump to having spice and I just had a ball.

I love the McBrides! This series is only getting better, and it's set up really nicely to keep going—I so hope it does. The spirit and spunk from all of them, but especially Junebug, were nicely complemented by the unexpected emotional depth to Morgan. Lovely, lovely, quick read.

I was so excited to read this book after finishing Kit's story! I loved the wholesome rom-com and wanted another story about Junebug's antics. I will say, this book had too much innuendo and sexual content for my personal preferences. I loved that the first was a clean, witty romance and it was disappointing to see all the inneduno and then eventually, open door sex scene. That scene was easy to skip, which I appreciated, but most of the innuendo was not.
Aside from that I absolutely loved this book! Junebug is a hoot and I was laughing harder than a book has made me laugh in a long time before the innuendo started. The romance was more focused on physical connection than emotional connection, so it also wasn't as swoony as the first one, but I was still deeply attached to both Morgan and Pip from the start and rooting for them to get together. Pip especially grabbed my heart from the first chapter and I love a character I can root for.
I also loved the side characters. Junebug is my favorite part of the series, but Pip's grandma played an incredible role and gave me a few laughs too! And I really want to read the next one and see the rest of the McBrides fall in love, however, if it's as steamy as this book was, I may personally decide to skip out on it.
Overall this book was really well done and if you prefer spice more than I do, you'd probably love this book and find it flawless.

Mentions of Morgan's dad abusing his mom in a flashback. Graphic, open door sex scene at the end of the book (easy to skip), but innuendo and sexual content (petting, partial nudity, thoughts about sex described in partial detail) are found throughout almost half of the book.reading_ladies_blog's review against another edition
