So cute! A great return to bucks creek. It’s more refined than the first one with a touch more romance but still hilarity and chaos. Morgan is such a simp and it’s sweet how he finds love. I love Junebug and her antics. I didn’t love how we were constantly reminded of Pips body and how she wasn’t pretty except in Montana but she came into her own and i appreciated that!

I love this series and this author. I wish there were more lighthearted Western romances with humor and lovable characters like this one. The love story between Morgan and Epiphany (Pip) is sweet--especially because they are both such great characters and perfect for each other. Pip was a more memorable character than Maddy, so I liked this one better than Kit McBride Gets a Wife. Overall, my favorite character is still Junebug. Cannot wait until the next one!

was really ready to love this book, & some of the emotional, landscape, & erotic descriptions were quite lovely. unfortunately the frenetic determined cheeriness of the narrative voice (neither deliberate absurdism nor actually funny jokes) & Sour Eagle the incompetent gambling indigenous character really took me out of the book every time I started to sink in & enjoy it. this might be the most, like, culturally heterosexual book I’ve ever read, which I guess means perhaps the author achieved their artistic aim?

This books was so fun. I love Junebug and the shenanigans she gets the family into. We get more great side characters and I can’t wait to see them in future books. These books are not as romance forward as a traditional romance (since the MMC wasn’t looking for a wife), but the characters are great and the story is fun. I can’t wait for more!
