Never in my life did I think that Finley would give me a sweet, orc romance. But this is exactly what that was. Normally she's all angst and fluids, but this was sweet, swoony, and
A sweet and very steamy holiday story about two orcs and a human. Lydia is a super shy, sweet woman in her forties. She is a widower who lives a lonely plain life. That is until an older Orc comes to her work. A spark ignites between the two and soon he becomes a regular visitor of Lydia’s. When the orc invites her to celebrate Yule with him for a few days she is surprised but so happy because she is really starting to like him. When she shows up to the cozy cabin she is not expecting the surprise her orc is giving her. This story was both cozy and quite spicy. I loved the holiday vibes and all the different traditions that the orcs had. Lydia was such a sweetheart. She is very shy but somehow finds herself between two big orcs. Although things are extra hot between the three there is also a lot of growth between the characters and I loved watching the relationships evolve as the book went on. This book is great for those who love holiday themed books with orcs, copious amounts of “fluid”, sword crossing, poly relationships, and wholesome love.
so precious!
NGL, Tryg bothered me at times. He was def an interesting mix of selfish and tender. But a complex MC with foibles and failures is what makes a book good. Lydia and Erzog were super cute and they all made a great throuple. I cried a few times, which is always a good sign, because the experience was immersive. Highly recommend for a holiday read!
Spice: 5/5

Wow, while I enjoyed this Christmas novella...not sure I can handle a full book of orc smut. Maybe orcs aren't my thing. This whole series is very highly rated, so it very obviously is someone's thing.

All hail the Orc Queen!
Yuled by the Orcs was a fun, quick, sweet, steamy holiday read. Finley never disappoints. The re-release was perfection.
It's great to be back in this world with some new and familiar characters. She gives us older characters, which I absolutely loved, and plenty of spice and laughs.
I can't wait to read more from Finley.
