Writing was excellent, vibes were immaculate, characters fully fleshed and believable but also our main character has a horrible father and that hit too close to home.

This book was so dang good. Ya horror can be hit and miss but this one was done so well. I can totally see why peoole love it. I thought the bugs would bother me and wouldn’t be able to read it, but thankfully the story and characters made it worth it.
This definitely had the creepy horror aspects especially with the bugs, the posession. The story itself was very atmospheric and had some moments where I jumped out my skin.
The romance was a nice touch, but not the main focus. There was some great queer representation. I found Jades acceptance with being bi very relatable. A lot of us in the lgbtq community can definitely relate to the struggle and trying to push it back because we don’t want to be different. I found her being able to accept herself as bi incredibly authentic.
If you love horror and ghosts, I definitely reccomend you check this out.

Beautifully written, haunting, and disturbing, but also at times very confusing. It’s easy to get lost in this book like you would in a haunted house—whether that’s a good or bad thing is up to you. I highly recommend!
