I admit I was kind of upset. I thought Iko would at least change from the ending of book 1, but she hasn't. She still makes stupid decisions which mostly happens in front of instructor Dojo which eventually cost her job. She risked her life saving instructor Dojo. She could have died. She could have also made the attack worse because of her mouth. Iko should have acted quickly. In reality the people being attacked wouldn't have time to talk.

This is such a great series! I need to read it more often. Wonderful characters, visually appealing art, a great story, too!

Enjoyed, similar to the first, but knowing the characters more helps with this volume. Finally got a bit of action, too!

I enjoyed the second volume more because of the character relationships and the focus more on the library aspect than the military. I am still not sure how the main character ended up in the position she's in though, she's frustratingly inept for being "elite". Overall, though, much better than the first volume.
