Such a beautiful book about healing, trauma and family. I don’t think I’ve ever cried more while reading a book. Everything was written so beautifully and it genuinely had me thinking and processing everything days after I finished. Would recommend this to everyone!

A slightly uplifting but mostly depressing novel. I read this book quickly trying to get to the part where it would pull me in but it never really did. I think expectations were just too high.

Crying in H Mart

A brilliant book about loss, hope, and occasionally joy.

A struggle of wills between mother and daughter.

This book definitely brought up some feelings that I have myself.

Michelle did an amazing job between coming to terms with how her mother loved her, and her Korean roots.

I love how Michelle ties in her love for the food and how her mother's cooking for her was a big part of showing love.

This book will make you feel all of the emotions.

Go listen to Michelle's music Japanese Breakfast.
