Cillian is officially it for me. I’ve read this book so many times because it’s just so well written and such a pure love story between two people who heal each other. How he treats Paige is how every man in every book should treat his respective heroine. Authors, please take notes. I will be re-reading this one very soon, because I need my Cillian and Paige fix.

✨This book deals with some very dark and mature themes, please check trigger warnings✨

I absolutely adored this book. It’s been on my tbr for months and I’m kicking myself For not reading it sooner!

Hurt to love is a story about healing from one of the worst experiences imaginable. I admired Paige for the strength she showed throughout this book. Despite being mute for the first half of the book you can feel every single thought and emotion she conveys, the writing is incredible.

Cillian is the most perfect hero. He is willing to risk absolutely everything to help a girl he has met once because he can’t live with himself knowing she is suffering. After he rescues her from her situation he gives her the space to heal at her own pace while remaining by her side. His support, care and love for her was so beautiful, I wish I could read it again for the first time.

While the story mainly revolves around Paige healing from her trauma there is also a great deal of suspense throughout the story which built a great climax of the story.

I could not recommend this book more!

This book was super funny and had some cute romantic lines. The writing was kinda cringey though and the storyline dragged a bit.

“Being on his lap, being kissed by him, I felt like we were a part of each other. Two threads woven together, forever meant to be. I was a part of him, and he was a part of me. Nothing could ever change that. I never believed in fate or kismet before, but now I do. I was meant to find this man. Life had thrown me so many curveballs, but whenever I felt like giving in, life slapped me in the face and reminded me that one day, my circumstances would change. I'd take all the curveballs to get to him.”

Cheese and rice on a cracker.
Cillian *dreamy sigh*
I feel like I've been in love with him for so long when in reality i only met him a less than a week ago.
He's got that wise crack humour that i love, he's always got a pep in his step and he's an absolute delight to read.
Real life kept getting in the way while reading but when i had to put it down my brain was constantly going over and over wondering what their doing.
I loved the storyline and everything that went into it, it had it's hard parts but Cillian more than makes up for that.
P was so strong, she was a fighter and i loved her for it. I can't say much about her without giving stuff away but she was so amazing to read about.
I think I'm seriously in love with Nikki's writing.

Hurt to love by Nikki J. Summers is one of the best reads that I've had this month, if not this year. I don’t know how to describe it without giving away spoilers. The plot was intense, and the characters had so many layers. I enjoyed peeling back each one of them to find out who they truly were.

This intense emotional rollercoaster had me flipping through pages, and staying up late. It pulled at my heart, and I desperately needed a happily ever after. Cillian and P are everything I need in a romantic suspense. They balanced each others dark, with their light.

Cillian is the best type of book boyfriend. He was patient, understanding, and stood up for P. He knew there was something special about her. He saved her, fought for her, and helped her through her fears. As well as understanding her more than anyone, and knowing how strong she truly was. P definitely deserved someone like Cillian after everything she's been through. Not everyone could have survived the hellish couple of months that she endured. She was strong, and smart about her captivity.

I haven't read the other books in this series, but I'm very curious of Jackson and Luca's story. I will be reading about them soon. Nikki J Summers has offically been put on my top 10 authors.

I received an ARC for a honest review.
