Main plot is way over the top, didn't make much sense. Some cools stories here and there, first one made me physically sick, so that was something.
The story that held the characters together was not well done. Some of the short stories were good, some were really bad. Trying to keep track of 19 main characters was too much. The poems didn't add anything. All in all this would have been a three star but knocked back a star because of the horribly transphobic Miranda short story :(

I’m not sure how I felt about it. It definitely had disturbing content, but it left me personally less disturbed and more absolutely baffled? I spent the whole time wondering who our narrator was, or if the narrator of the non-in-universe-story portions was meant to be their collective voice (an interesting idea that I really like). My main issue is that while I don’t have to LIKE any particular character in a book I read, I tend to want to connect with at least one and this book moved from person to person too fast for me to get personally invested. It may be better on a second read?

This, I must admit, was the first book to ever make me gag and have to look away for a bit. Descriptions were a bit more vivid than I anticipated for some parts, to the point that the cringe factor was multiplied.
I finished it, but I was left feeling very disoriented by the end.
